Influenster TRESemme VoxBox

Its been awhile since I've participated in a voxbox, but I'm always excited when I'm offered the opportunity to do it. This voxbox was for the TRESemme 7 Day - Keratin Smooth System. This system is designed to fight frizz and give you smooth hair for up to 48 hours when you use the Keratin Smooth products.  On the TRESemme website, it shows six products in the Keratin Smooth collection - shampoo, conditioner, flat iron smoothing spray, smoothing serum, shine spray, and creme serum.  Influenster sent me the shampoo, conditioner and the Heat Activated Treatment (oddly, the Heat Activated Treatment didn't show up on the collection page...).

I may have mentioned this in a previous post, but I don't tend to do a ton with my hair in terms of products or blow drying. I either go for some sea salt spray or I curl my hair, rarely do I ever wear it straight. However, I've changed hair stylists and she styled my hair straight the last couple of times I've gone in and since then I've been trying to recreate that smooth, soft blowout that only professionals can accomplish, or so it seems. Unfortunately, I've had several failed attempts in recreating that smooth, sleek look. My hair could fall back into the shape my stylist gave me, but the smoothness wasn't there.  I was shocked that the TRESemme 7 Day system actually gave me that smoothness!

To use the system, the instructions say to:
1. Wash with the Keratin Infusing Shampoo and Conditioner. (Which smell good!)
2. Towel - dry hair.
3. Divide hair into 3-5 sections, depending on length/thickness, and dispense 2 pumps of the Heat Activated Treatment to each section.
4. Comb the Heat Activated Treatment through hair
5. Blow-dry until completely dry
6. Flat iron small sections (3 passes per sections) to  activate the "thermal technology"

For someone who is a novice at DIY blowouts, or just blow drying hair, this seemed like a lot of steps/work. If you're already used to blow drying your hair, this might be an easier process, with just a couple of added products or steps. I will say that once I was done styling, my hair was soft and smooth and definitely lasted the 48 hours! So maybe a little extra styling time is worth it. :) If I would've seen this collection in the store, I probably wouldn't have bothered checking it out. But since Influenster sent me this products complimentary for testing purposes, I'm glad I was able to give it try and I'm pleasantly surprised with the results. Oh, and bonus, this system is safe for color treated hair!

**I received these products complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes.**
